Fees

 

 

  • Parents will be invoiced fortnightly and are expected to pay the amount owing within 7 days. Fees must be paid within the fortnight of care or in advance. Educators are paid fortnightly in arrears for the care they have provided over the previous fortnight.

  • The Ministry of Education requires that we keep a record of the child's attendance. Educators fill in a Child Attendance Record with the contracted hours and the hours the children attend. Parents are required to sign this record daily as you pick up your child/ren. Arrival and departure times are rounded to the nearest quarter-hour.

  • You will be charged for your child's contracted hours or for the hours your child attends, whichever is greatest. Contracted hours are negotiated between the Parent, Educator and Management before your child commences care.

  • At least fourteen days notice must be given if care is to cease.

  • Minimum of 6 hours per week.

  • If a break in care is required (e.g. holidays), at least 7 days notice must be given. For absences notified a week in advance no fee is charged. No fee will be charged during the Christmas/New Year period or any public holidays when the service is closed. Parents and Educators may enter into private arrangements during this time only.

  • If the contracted hours are not used, and there is less than 7 days notice normal fees are charged except for illnesses where you will be given 5 days per annum at no charge to you. After these 5 days you will be charged at the full rate of $5.00 per hour.

  • If alternative care is used due to your usual Educator being unable to care for your child/ren, you will be charged as normal. If there is no alternative care, there is no charge.

Pre-School Children Absences (Retainers):
Less than 30 weekly contracted hours 10 days leave at NO CHARGE
After this time 50% of normal hourly rate is charged as a retainer
7 days notice of absence must be given or FULL RATE will be charged

More than 30 weekly contracted hours 15 days leave at NO CHARGE
After this time 50% of normal hourly rate is charged as a retainer
7 days notice of absence must be given or FULL RATE will be charged

Up to 5 days illness - No Fee

Illness after 5 day allowance - 50% or the normal fee will apply

Two or more Pre School Children:
If you have more than one preschool child attending Busy Bodies Childcare Service there is a 10% discount for the child with the least hours.
Discount does not apply to school children.

School Children:
School Children:$6.50 per hour

Absences (with 7 days notice)
No Fee

Absence due to illness
$4.00 per hour

Weekend Care
$7 per hour per child. Usual terms and conditions regarding illness and leave.

Childcare Subsidy
WINZ provides subsidies to families on limited incomes. Please phone WINZ to discuss your eligibility. WINZ subsidies are not paid for Public Holidays. WINZ subsidies are not available whilst the service is closed.
